Live/Studio Guitarist

I've probably spent more time in the studio than anywhere else in the past few years - mostly recording 'soundalike' playalong sets for Faber Music (see books). This gives me a certain expertise in being able to create just about any guitar sound you can imagine - as well as the tell-tale pale skin. I'm still capable of originality though - check out the original tunes on my listen page.

I'm equally at home with a live band, in a wide variety of styles including rock, jazz, jump 'n' jive, Irish ceili, soul/disco...

And the icing on the cake? Yes, I play guitar AND I read music.

Sessions Online

I can save you time and money by recording guitars in my studio instead of yours. Send me your Pro Tools session or guide mix by DigiDelivery, email, FTP or on disc and I'll send the guitar tracks right back.

Arranging/Transcription

I have transcribed albums for matching folios by major artists including Snow Patrol, Muse, Starsailor and Seth Lakeman. I have arranged, recorded and engraved playalong sets (book/CD) in Faber Music's Authentic Playalong series covering Green Day, Pink Floyd, Nirvana and others. I have also transcribed/arranged many artists' work for the chord songbook format, including The Smiths (complete catalogue), Jeff Buckley and Super Furry Animals. I can quickly produce professional lead sheets from recordings - recent clients include Domino Publishing (King Creosote/Little Barrie). See books.

Engraving, Copying & Layout

I have the experience in music publishing and the tools to produce finished engravings and layout for any type of printed music/text product. Recent work includes all the Faber Music playalong sets as well as the Rockschool vocal syllabus (six books).
