Who Am I?
As John Lennon almost said: "My name's Tom and I play the guitar." I couldn't have put it better myself. Except that I do all sorts of related stuff too. Hence the 'etc.' I am available for gigs and sessions. I arrange and record playalong book/CD sets. I write books on the guitar and how to play it and I am busy as an arranger for various music publishers. I am also a Rockschool examiner. They Say...
"Tom is the consummate professional. He is always well prepared and always manages to find the right sound for the job quickly. His playing always hits the spot, whether he's reading or improvising a part. Whether you book him for rock, jazz, folk, post-industrial urban psycho bluegrass or anything in between, Tom's yer man: he'll nail it."
Dave Clarke, The Mews Studios
"Tom is a highly professional and intelligent musician, and a skilled player, who is extremely versatile - equally adept in the technicalities of playing in a wide variety of genres and styles, and as comfortable with rock guitar as with Irish mandolin. The only other bloke I know who would prefer to chat about tritone substitutions than watch the World Cup... unless there's a guitar in the room!"
Christopher Hussey, producer/arranger
"Fleming has taken a lifetime of experience and put it into a series of books that communicate with clarity and concision a range of skills invaluable to any keen popular guitarist. Highly recommended."
